Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As previously reported, on 3 July, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva was on a visit to Bayaut district of Syrdarya region.
During the visit, the Chairman of the Senate visited several sites and got acquainted with new projects. In particular, she examined the houses in the area in disrepair.
The head of the Senate was interested in the condition of 5 multi-storey buildings located in the Madaniyat and Izhodkor mahallas of Bayaut district. These houses were built in 1960-1970, today they have come to an unsuitable state for living.
The head of the Senate talked with the population of this territory, paid attention to issues that concern them, including topical issues such as gas supply and electricity, the problem of drinking water, support for people with disabilities and providing them with quality medical care.
In addition, the population of the area explained that measures are being taken to relocate them to a new place, to further improve their lifestyle.
Then, the Senate Chairperson familiarized herself with the project, which provides for the purpose of providing housing to the families of the district in need of improving housing conditions, turning into a residential building a four-story building, which is on the balance of the Bayaut Agricultural Professional College.
The next stop is the Uchturgon mahalla in Bayaut district. This year it is planned to erect in this area 4 five-story residential buildings with apartments at an affordable price.
T.Narbaeva during the trip was interested in the work carried out in the Uchturgon mahalla and the issue of attracting funds from international financial institutions for the construction of engineering and communication facilities. An instruction was given to the responsible departments to accelerate work in this direction, to open shopping and entertainment facilities, to establish bookstores. The need for a responsible approach to this process was emphasized.
Another issue was included on the agenda, namely, the adoption of measures to improve the reclamation state of cultivated agricultural lands, to improve irrigation facilities and the communication system.
The Senate Chairperson also got acquainted with the work done by the Boyevut Techno Cluster LLC. This cluster has been allocated 10 500 hectares of land for growing cotton. In 2020, it is planned to harvest 31,286 tons. Currently, construction work has begun at the enterprises. Modern equipment worth US$14.0 million was brought from abroad in containers.
“Our company plans to implement a number of projects in 2020-2023,” says Sh. Komilov, director of the Boyevut Techno Cluster LLC. - The acquisition and overhaul of a cotton ginning enterprise with a capacity of 40 thousand tons is planned in the third quarter of 2020, the commissioning of a silk spinning mill by the investment funds in the amount of US$20 million by the end of the year. Thanks to this, 800 jobs will be created. In addition, we plan to launch a cotton processing plant with a capacity of 15 thousand tons and create 100 jobs by the end of the third quarter of 2022. We faced the problem of providing our enterprise with electricity. On this issue, I turned to the Chairman of the Senate and this issue will soon be resolved positively.
T.Narbaeva also got acquainted with the project for the production of textile products organized by the sewing factory of Stella Moda LLC.
Thanks to the implementation of this project, 400 new jobs will be created, and most importantly, women in the district will be provided with work. Now, construction and repair work is being carried out at an accelerated pace.
“We attracted investments for this enterprise in the amount of 4 billion soums,” says the head of Stella Mod LLC J. Suvanov. - Our goal is to ensure the employment of the population of this territory. 400-500 women will be employed. Moreover, we want to contribute to the export potential of the country. We mainly produce sewing and knitwear products that are exported to Italy, Russia, the Czech Republic, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The Senate Chairperson familiarized herself with the workflow and shared her views. At the same time, we asked for practical assistance in delaying the VAT return period, to which we received an answer about his positive decision.
The last item was the Ziyokor mahalla of Bayaut district. The Senate President, together with the mahalla veterans, took part in the opening ceremony of the newly built administrative building of the Ziyokor mahalla citizens rally.
As the deputy chairman of the Ziyokor mahalla for women’s issues on women’s issues, Saltanat Yuldosheva, notes, 3451 families live in the mahalla. Particular attention is paid to the issues of ensuring employment of the population, including youth, women. They are given preferential loans, they are involved in family business. Young people also engage in fishing, rabbit breeding, and handicraft. And women started sewing production, the work of beauty salons. In addition, greenhouses are built on the basis of subsidies.
During the visit, Senate Chairperson also focused on the creation of a recreation park, cultural facilities and sports and recreation centers in the area.
