Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 October, Tanzili Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Isabelle Servoz-Gallucci, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Senate Oliy Majlis Information Service reported.

The parties noted that the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev to France, held in October 2018, marked a new stage in bilateral relations.

During the conversation, issues of further development of bilateral relations, including the strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations, were discussed. Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva invited the Chairman of the Senate of the French Parliament Gerard Larcher to visit Uzbekistan.
