Senate chairman meets delegation of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On September 24, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Yuldoshev met with a delegation led by Vice Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia Hidayat Nur Wahid.

At the meeting, issues of further strengthening Uzbekistan – Indonesia inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed.

The guests were informed on large-scale reforms being implemented in the country within the framework of implementation of the Action Strategy on five priority development areas of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

The current state and prospects for cooperation between the legislative bodies of both countries was discussed at the meeting. In addition, the experience accumulated in implementation of democratic and socio-economic reforms was considered. It was emphasized that there are all necessary opportunities for further enrichment of inter-parliamentary dialogue with new content.

At the event, the parties agreed to continue their joint work on further deepening inter-parliamentary relations, as well as interaction within the framework of international parliamentary structures.
