Senate Approves Changes to the Composition of Uzbekistan’s Supreme Court and High Judicial Council
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At its 12th plenary session, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis reviewed changes in the composition of the High Judicial Council and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the Senate resolution, Malikahon Kalandarova has been relieved of her position as a permanent member of the High Judicial Council. At the same time, she was elected for a new ten-year term as a judge of the Supreme Court and for a five-year term as Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court and Chairperson of a judicial chamber.
Additionally, the following individuals were elected as Supreme Court judges for ten-year terms: Abrorkhon Akramov, Jahangir Juraev, Nosir Zaynabidinov, Mansurbek Kurbanov, Jamoladdin Kuryazov, Uktam Mamadiev, Shukhrat Mulladzhanov, Umida Nishonova, and Odiljon Turdiev.
In connection with appointments to other positions and personal requests, the following officials were relieved of their duties: O. Ismailov, Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court, as well as judges T. Mirzaev, M. Yeshimbetov, B. Ergashov, and A. Bekmanov.
