Senate approves activities of Ombudsperson in 2013

It was noted that the activities of the Ombudsperson in 2013 were directed at implementing measures on enhancing parliamentary control over adherence of the government and governance bodies and their officials to human rights and freedoms and to improve legislation in this direction.

Ombudsperson organized several events to boost law culture of population and interaction of the state bodies with social institutes, as well as law enforcement bodies and judicial agencies.

In 2013, Ombudsperson considered complaints and appeals of the citizens on violation of their rights and freedoms and adopted measures to restore their rights. The appeals were received in electronic form, which increased number of received appeals.

During the discussions, the senators shared their wishes and recommendations for further improving activities of the Ombudsperson.
