Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 7 August, within the framework of the sixth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, held in the form of video conference moder, the first issue of discussion on the agenda was the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education".
As you know, the Law "On Education" was adopted in 1997 and currently does not meet the requirements for ensuring the quality of education.
Therefore, the adoption of the new edition of this Law will ensure an inseparable connection between the issues of education and upbringing. This provides for educational improvement at the current stage of social life, in particular, of every young person as a person.
In addition, special attention is paid to the issue of preschool education and upbringing. In particular, priority is given to the teaching and upbringing of preschool children, as well as the widespread use in practice of the type of continuous education aimed at preparing children for general secondary education.
Along with this, special attention is paid to ensuring the continuity, logical consistency of the content of education, starting with the system of preschool, general secondary and secondary specialized, vocational, higher education, retraining and advanced training of personnel, out-of-school education.
In addition, the norm on the implementation of the study of general education and special subjects in the form of day education on a free basis on the basis of two-year integrated programs based on graduates of the 9th grade of primary and vocational schools is being fixed.
The Law clarifies the rights, duties and responsibilities of employees of educational institutions, students and parents, social protection of participants in the educational process, the legal status of thousands of professionals working in the field of education, as well as millions of parents, aspects of their social protection and their responsibilities.
From now on, the law provides an opportunity for the development of a non-state form of education, effective use of the potential of intellectual property in society, and the expansion of jobs in the areas of science and education.
During the meeting, the senators noted that the new version of the Law is important in terms of bringing legal clarity to the issues of our many citizens regarding higher education, recognition of diplomas received in education, guaranteeing temporary residence for students, distance education, family education, inclusive education.
