Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Self-employed persons are engaged in a professional business, while they do not have an employer or employees. Social tax is paid once a year (in 2020 it is at least 111,500 soums), they are credited with pension and work experience. And income received as a result of employment is not subject to income tax. Notification registration can be done in the Soliq app. There is also a simplified accounting of the activities of the self-employed.

According to the press service of the State Tax Committee, as of 20 July, 157,400 citizens are in the status of self-employed persons.

Despite the fact that Bukhara region is still in the lead in terms of regions - 20,885 (+172) self-employed, the largest number of newly registered self-employed citizens was recorded in Khorezm region, 6,982 (+2,214). Namangan region has high rates - 20 145 (+1 602), Fergana region - 13 567 (+1 049), Tashkent region - 11 778 (+836)

The types of activities of self-employed persons are presented in six areas - a total of 67 points.

From the first days of registration, three types of activities are most in demand:

- the sphere of household services (hairdressing, manicure, cosmetology, pedicure, washing and ironing at home, making keys, sewing shoes, repairing and painting, etc.) - 43 247 (+2 763 compared to July 16) self-employed ;

- rendering services in the field of agriculture (cattle grazing and care, assistance to owners of household plots in planting and caring for agricultural crops) - 32 395 (+ 2 705) self-employed;

- the sphere of social services (tutoring at home, babysitting and care, housekeeping, cleaning of premises, traditional medicine, etc.) - 25 400 (+ 2 124) self-employed

The same demand among the population was caused by services in the industrial sector (wooden architecture, plumbing, electrical installation, collection of waste paper, plastic, scrap metal, etc.) - 26 935 (+2 148) and the production of consumer goods and services (selling bread, popcorn at home, ice cream, salads, soft drinks, ayran, gugi and trade in agricultural products in dekhkan markets) - 27 054 (+1 280) self-employed.

The indicator of ICT services remains stable (activities in social networks, development of software, mobile applications and websites, creation and processing of text) - 2,391 (+179) self-employed.
