Seasonal Work Quotas for Uzbek Citizens in the UK to Be Expanded
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Quotas for seasonal work in the United Kingdom for citizens of Uzbekistan are set to be increased.
An official meeting was held in London between Behzod Musayev, Director of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Usmanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the UK, and David Kemp, CEO of the UK’s Association of Labour Providers (ALP).
The ALP is an organization uniting over 300 major UK companies, representing employers in sectors such as seasonal work, food production, logistics, and other industries.
During the talks, ALP CEO David Kemp stated: “We are ready to take cooperation with the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan in employing Uzbek youth in UK enterprises to a new level.”
The meeting resulted in an agreement to increase quotas for Uzbek citizens under the UK seasonal worker program, sign contracts with new operators, and ensure safe and legal employment opportunities for Uzbek nationals.
