SCO RATS chief holds talks with Israeli envoy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mr. Zhang Xinfeng, Director of the Executive Committee of SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (SCO RATS) met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Uzbekistan Carmela Shamir on her request on 29 May 2014.

Zhang Xinfeng informed the envoy on activities of the SCO RATS and its cooperation with international and regional organizations, competent bodies of observer states and partners of the SCO, fighting terrorism, etc.

The sides considered issues of military-political situation in Central Asia and Syria, as well as exchanged opinion on perspectives of development of situation in Afghanistan.

At the meeting, the sides also considered actual issues of mutual interest.
