School in Khorezm receives 250 books of Russian literature for 20m soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- With the support of the Ministry of Public Education and the MFond, a charity event was held at the secondary school No. 2 of Shavat district of the Khorezm region at the initiative of “Sharq Ayoli” foundation.
As part of the campaign, 250 books of Russian literature worth 20 million soums were handed over to students of the school, the press service of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan said.
The campaign was carried out to promote education and formation of a culture of reading books among the youth of Uzbekistan.
Chairman of the Board of the Sharq Ayoli Foundation Saodat Tursunbayeva said: “The leadership of Uzbekistan has begun full-scale reforms in the field of education. Investing in children is the best investment we can make at the moment. Through such actions, we hope that we will help our children gain good knowledge and lay the foundation for their future success in professional activities. ”
The campaign was organized in partnership with the Center for Development Strategies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment of Khorezm region.
