Saudi Arabia Ready to Host 20,000 Uzbek Workers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Batir Zakhidov, Uzbekistan’s Minister for Poverty Reduction and Employment, held a meeting with His Excellency Yousef Al-Otaibi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan.

During the talks, the parties discussed current results and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres, as well as issues related to labor migration.

The Saudi side expressed readiness to recruit at least 20,000 workers from Uzbekistan.

In addition, the Uzbek ministry presented initiatives to establish training centers for specialists in care services and technical professions.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to further expand cooperation in the fields of labor and employment.
