Sartorius AG and Uzbekistan Discuss Biopharmaceutical Industry Development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 November 2025, Abdullah Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with representatives of the German international biotechnology company Sartorius AG.

The discussion focused on the Tashkent Pharma Park pharmaceutical cluster projects, potential collaboration in biotechnology, and the conditions being established to facilitate cooperation.

The parties explored prospects for joint efforts in modernizing laboratory infrastructure and training qualified personnel, and they reviewed the activities and potential of research institutes.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to support the development of a research concept and to implement a number of practical proposals together.
