Sardor Umurzakov holds meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 April, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov held a working meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Marta Novakova.

The meeting, which was held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, allowed the parties to exchange visions on the prospects of cooperation between the two countries, with a view to strengthening business and cooperative ties, increasing investment and trade cooperation in a number of areas.

The Czech Minister noted that Uzbekistan is becoming one of the top-priority countries, which are in the focus of attention of Czech entrepreneurs, who intend to acquire positions in the Central Asian region. In the light of these trends, it is particularly important at this stage to organize meetings at the governmental and business levels so that the parties have the opportunity to get a general picture of the prospects and to single out for themselves certain advantageous positions.

Following the meeting, the parties developed a preliminary strategy for trade and economic cooperation in a number of sectors, including the automotive industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and outlined a sequence of further actions in these areas.
