Sardor Umurzakov holds meeting with the Deputy Minister of Commerce of China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the sidelines of the 18th Meeting of Ministers of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with Deputy Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China Yu Jianhua, with whom the dynamics of cooperation were monitored in a number of areas, including investment, trade, and transport and communications.

In particular, they discussed the prospects for increasing joint production of a wide range of output with a focus on foreign markets, which is achievable by stimulating the value chain between states.

Separately, questions were raised and discussed on projects in the field of exploration, textile, leather and food industries, promising proposals for the mutual optimization of tariff regulation, as well as methods for attracting investments in the creation of specialized industrial technology parks.

Following the meeting, points of further growth and development of cooperation were outlined, bearing in mind the accelerated implementation of the agreements and agreements reached and the study of new mechanisms of interaction.
