Samarkand to Host Eco Expo Central Asia 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 31 May to 5 June 2026, the Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex will host the international Eco Expo Central Asia 2026, an exhibition focused on ecological technologies.
The event will run concurrently with the 8th Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), ensuring a high level of international participation.
Eco Expo Central Asia 2026 will become the largest platform in Central Asia, bringing together leading global companies, innovative startups, government agencies, and international organizations working in environmental protection and sustainable development.
Representatives from more than 180 countries are expected, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, showcasing advanced solutions, and establishing new partnerships.
The main goal of the exhibition is to promote green technologies, attract investment in ecological projects, and develop international cooperation in environmental protection and climate change mitigation.
The exhibition will cover areas such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, water-saving technologies, ecotourism, waste management, smart cities, and the use of artificial intelligence in ecology. The event will feature thematic zones, demonstration areas, startup spaces, and interactive installations.
The program includes business sessions, expert discussions, B2B, B2G, and B2C meetings, signing agreements, and presenting investment projects. Dedicated areas will allow Uzbek regions to showcase current and prospective initiatives for improving environmental conditions and sustainable development.
Participants include leading international organizations such as UNEP, UNECE, FAO, GEF, GGGI, IUCN, UNCCD, CSM, and the Ramsar Convention. Their involvement will facilitate knowledge exchange and promote advanced solutions in sustainable development, climate adaptation, and responsible natural resource management.
Holding the exhibition alongside the GEF Assembly will strengthen the synergy between global environmental agendas and regional initiatives, drawing international attention to Uzbekistan’s ecological reforms and projects.
