Samarkand State Medical Institute will discuss current problems of modern medicine

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 15 May 2020, the 74th traditional scientific and practical conference of medical students and young scientists with international participation on the topic “Actual Problems of Modern Medicine” will be held at the Samarkand State Medical Institute.

This event is held in accordance with the implementation of the State program "Years of Science, Education and the Development of the Digital Economy" and is dedicated to the upcoming 90th anniversary of the institute. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, it will take place remotely online. Despite the quarantine conditions, the organizing committee of the conference received more than 900 scientific abstracts and articles from 550 authors from our country and 7 foreign countries who expressed a desire to participate in its work.

The main objectives of the scientific and practical conference are to attract young scientists and students to research activities, instill the skills of presentations of scientific developments, promote the introduction of innovative developments in practical health care and expand the professional ties of young scientists.

The conference will discuss current fundamental and practical issues of experimental, clinical, preventive medicine and related biomedical sciences.

The conference will bring together more than 150 students and young scientists from 12 higher medical educational institutions of Russia, the Republic of Korea, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and 6 medical universities in Uzbekistan. At the plenary and 8 breakout sessions, oral presentations will be heard on topical issues of modern medicine. Following the conference, it is planned to award distinguished participants with relevant diplomas. All conference materials will be published in the scientific journal “Problems of Biology and Medicine” published by the Samara State Medical Institute.

The organizers of the conference are sure that the ideas, suggestions and recommendations presented at the conference will serve the further development of healthcare in our country, the introduction of innovations in the field, will contribute to the training of qualified medical personnel and further improve the quality of high-quality medical care provided to the population.
