Samarkand Region Leads Potato Production in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Agency, from January to September 2025, farms of all categories in Uzbekistan produced nearly 3.1 million tons of potatoes.

Among the regions, the largest producers were:

Samarkand Region — 631,922 tons
Tashkent Region — 320,053 tons
Ferghana Region — 317,426 tons
Surkhandarya Region — 316,052 tons
Andijan Region — 306,060 tons
Namangan Region — 298,992 tons
Bukhara Region — 278,682 tons
Kashkadarya Region — 168,317 tons
Khorezm Region — 140,672 tons
Navoi Region — 83,552 tons
Jizzakh Region — 68,103 tons
Republic of Karakalpakstan — 66,102 tons
Syrdarya Region — 60,131 tons
City of Tashkent — 429 tons

It is noted that Samarkand, Tashkent, and Ferghana regions have maintained their status as the main potato-growing areas in the country.
