Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 3 to 6 May 2026, Samarkand will host the 59th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The event is co-organized by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade.

The forum will bring together financial institution leaders, ministers of economy, and international experts under the theme “Crossroads of Progress: Fostering a Connected Regional Future.” The program will cover key priorities in sustainable development and regional integration, including digital infrastructure, financing for the energy transition, food security, and strengthening multilateral cooperation.

Business sessions and thematic workshops will focus on sustainability and the development of key industrial supply chains. Main events will take place at Samarkand’s Congress Center and Expo Center.

The forum will also feature meetings of finance ministers from ASEAN+3 countries, Saudi Arabia, and other subregional groups, as well as the ADB Private Sector Day, aimed at enhancing engagement with the business community.

Applications for participation are open until April 15, 2026. Hosting the event in Samarkand underscores Uzbekistan’s growing role as an international platform for dialogue, collaborative solutions, and promotion of sustainable economic development.
