Samarkand and Malaysia Strengthen Hajj Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of his visit to Malaysia, the Governor of Samarkand Region, Adiz Boboev, met with Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Hussein, Chairman of the Tabung Haji organization.
The meeting took place at the organization’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, in the Menara TH building, and focused on enhancing mutual cooperation in organizing Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.
Participants paid special attention to facilitating visits for Malaysian pilgrims to the Imam Bukhari complex in Samarkand under the “Umra+” program, as well as ensuring comfortable conditions for their stay.
Both sides noted that such initiatives contribute to the development of religious and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to expand practical cooperation and implement joint projects in the field of pilgrimage tourism.
