Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of a German delegation's visit to Uzbekistan, Adiz Boboyev, Khokim (Governor) of the Samarkand region, held an official meeting with Eric Beisswenger, Bavaria's State Minister for European and International Affairs.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on workforce training. Eric Beisswenger highlighted Bavaria’s acute need for skilled specialists, leading to a review of potential joint educational programs and vocational training centers designed to meet high German standards.

The Samarkand administration confirmed its readiness to provide comprehensive support to Bavarian investors. Key incentives and a well-developed infrastructure were highlighted as catalysts for new business initiatives and a favorable investment climate.

Additionally, the sides explored prospects for developing the tourism industry. Given Samarkand’s rich historical heritage and Bavaria’s economic potential, the officials examined opportunities to increase mutual tourist flows and implement joint projects within the hospitality sector.

The agreements reached are aimed at strengthening economic ties and fostering humanitarian dialogue between the two regions.
