Sales of GM Uzbekistan in Russia drops by 3% in February

Sales of automobiles of GM Uzbekistan in Russia fell by 3% year-on-year in February 2016 to 1,586 units, the statement of the Automobile Manufacturers Committee of the Association of European Businesses said.
At the same time, sales of the Uzbek carmaker rose almost 25% compared to January 2016, when the enterprise sold 1,296 cars.
In January-February 2016, GM Uzbekistan realized 2,855 automobiles, which fell by 22% compared to the same period of 2015.
Share of GM Uzbekistan in Russian market made up 1.5% in January-February 2016 against 2% in the same period of 2015, the committee said.
In February 2016, GM Uzbekistan claimed the 18th place on sales of automobiles in Russia.
Gentra, produced at GM Uzbekistan, entered to the Top-25 of the best-selling cars in January-February 2016. The model claimed the 25th place. GM Uzbekistan sold 2146 cars of Gentra model in Russia in January-February 2016 against 1909 in the same period of 2015.
