Saida Mirziyoyeva Meets Utah Business Delegation to Strengthen Uzbek-American Relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a substantive meeting with a business delegation from the U.S. state of Utah, led by David Bednar, marking the beginning of a new stage in Uzbek-American relations.

The meeting highlighted the importance of President Shavkat Mirziyoyeva’s decision to introduce a visa-free regime for U.S. citizens, seen as a key step toward expanding both business and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

In line with a presidential decree, an American-Uzbek Business and Investment Council is being established. To coordinate its activities, a Counselor-Minister position is being created within the Uzbek Embassy in the United States.

Additionally, the decree allows Uzbek residents to freely transfer funds from their accounts in Uzbek banks for the purpose of establishing enterprises, investing in capital, or replenishing branch accounts in the U.S.

This initiative aims to further stimulate the international economic activity of Uzbek entrepreneurs, strengthen investment cooperation with the United States, and position Uzbekistan as an open and modern economy on the global stage.
