Saida Mirziyoyeva Meets Pope Leo XIV

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a meeting with Pope Leo XIV. The discussion took place during the session of the Sheikh Zayed Award jury for “Human Fraternity.”

During the meeting, the parties discussed the main objectives of the award, which focuses on promoting intercultural and interfaith understanding.

It was noted that in Uzbekistan, members of various religious communities, including Catholics, live in an atmosphere of harmony and tolerance, and the award aims to strengthen these values on the international stage.

Mirziyoyeva also emphasized the readiness to jointly implement initiatives aimed at building trust and promoting the principles of humanism worldwide, according to the official statement.
