Saida Mirziyoyeva Attends Award Ceremony for HealthTech AI Hackathon Winners in Nukus
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An award ceremony for the winners of the HealthTech AI Hackathon, showcasing innovative IT solutions for healthcare, was held in Nukus.
The event was attended by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives for fostering domestic digital innovations in the health sector.
“I saw many bright, determined young people full of ideas, united by this platform — more than 300 participants across 44 teams. Young doctors and tech specialists are joining forces to develop solutions for the medicine of the future,” Mirziyoyeva noted.
According to her, the participants of the Hackathon are driven by the desire to use digital tools to save lives, make diagnostics more accurate, and treatment more accessible.
“Each of them has their own story, their own reason to be here. Many didn’t come for awards — they came because they’ve seen the pain of their loved ones and want to create solutions that can change lives. That’s why their eyes shine, and their results are so impressive,” she said.
Mirziyoyeva stressed the need to support the further development of these projects, help refine them, and assist in attracting investors.
“I’m especially glad that 40% of the participants are young women — confidently presenting their ideas, creating unique products, and skillfully navigating complex technologies,” she added.
The HealthTech AI Hackathon is part of the broader National AI Hackathon Project, which aims to cover all regions of Uzbekistan. Thousands of young professionals are expected to take part by the end of 2026.
“I’m confident that among them are future innovators, scientists, and leaders who will successfully move our country forward,” Mirziyoyeva wrote on her Telegram channel.
The next stage of the project will take place in Samarkand.
