Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 31 January 2020, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Said Rustamov in London took part in a forum on promoting trade relations between the UK and the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECAN).
In a separate session on Central Asia, the British side noted new broad opportunities opening up for Great Britain in this region, including due to positive changes in Uzbekistan.
During his speech, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, based on the points of the Address by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Oliy Majlis, spoke about the ongoing processes of large-scale reforms in the republic, the priorities for further accelerated modernization of the country with emphasis on economic liberalization, as well as the main directions of foreign policy and foreign economic strategy.
Special attention was paid to issues of interaction with the UK, the dynamic implementation of the significant potential for cooperation in various fields.
