Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the agricultural machinery factory in Tashkent today.

The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan, headed by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, is on a two-day working visit to Uzbekistan.

Agricultural machinery factory in Tashkent produces various modifications of tractors, trailers and cotton-picking machines.

The serial production of the plant is in demand on the domestic market and occupies more than 80% of the market of Uzbekistan. Currently, UzAvtosanoat JSC (Uzavtoprom) is considering the implementation of agricultural equipment through dealer networks abroad or the creation of trading houses with the possibility of creating assembly plants on the ground.

In 2018, the plant produced 11,500 units of various modifications of agricultural machinery.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, agricultural production occupies a significant place in the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. For timely sowing, harvesting, transportation and high-quality production of agricultural products for the agricultural sector, modern and high-performance agricultural equipment is required. High-quality agricultural machinery is in demand and is supplied to neighboring countries with similar climatic and environmental conditions. The main consumers of the manufactured equipment are local farms and agricultural producers of neighboring Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and others.
