Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On a legal experiment on the introduction of a special order of management in the city of Tashkent” from 17 August 2018, the post of adviser to the khokim of the city of Tashkent on public affairs, mahalla and veterans was created.

Rustam Kalanov, deputy head of the Department for support of mahalla and family of the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent, was appointed to this position.

Rustam Kalanov was born in 1950 in the city of Tashkent. Since 1974, he worked in responsible positions in various spheres and sectors of the national economy, from 2017 to 2020 - chairman of the Tashkent City Council of the Nuroniy Foundation, since 2020 - Deputy Head of the Department for Support of Mahalla and Family of the Tashkent City Khokimiyat.
