Russian Valenta Pharm Plans to Increase Investment and Localize Production in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held a meeting with representatives of one of Russia’s largest pharmaceutical companies, Valenta Pharm, which has been successfully operating in the Uzbek market for over three decades.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed the company’s current projects in Uzbekistan, prospective areas of activity, and new initiatives.
Valenta Pharm representatives emphasized that Uzbekistan is viewed as a strategically important market for investment and production localization. They noted that, alongside meeting domestic demand, the company sees significant potential for exporting products to neighboring countries and other international markets.
Abdulla Azizov presented an overview of the favorable conditions established in Uzbekistan for the development of the pharmaceutical sector. He outlined measures to improve the investment climate, tax and customs incentives, opportunities within free economic zones, and prospects for cooperation with domestic and international partners.
Following the meeting, both sides agreed to further expand cooperation, develop joint pharmaceutical production, and ensure the supply of high-quality pharmaceutical products to both domestic and foreign markets.
