Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova to visit Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova will visit Uzbekistan from 16 to 18 January 2019.

According to the press service of the Ombudsman of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova will take part in a round table on the topic: “Cooperation for the benefit of human rights and the rule of law: humanitarian aspects of cooperation between the ombudsman institutions of Uzbekistan and Russia”.

Ombudsmen of Uzbekistan and Russia are expected to sign a memorandum of cooperation. The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation will also conclude a memorandum of cooperation with the National Center for Human Rights of Uzbekistan.

Moskalkova plans to visit the National Center for Human Rights of Uzbekistan and familiarize herself with the activities of the People’s Reception Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Samarkand region. She will also hold a series of working meetings.
