Russian MES Delegation Conducts Working Visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) conducted a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, during which it participated in joint activities aimed at developing bilateral cooperation in emergency prevention and response.
During the visit, representatives of the Russian rescue agency took part in a seminar on exchanging experience in fire safety for high-rise buildings as well as shopping and entertainment complexes.
The parties discussed issues related to fire prevention, organization of emergency response, and handling incidents at facilities with large public gatherings.
Particular attention during the visit was given to familiarization with the capabilities of Uzbekistan’s MES situational center, where operational monitoring and analysis are conducted in real time in Samarkand.
The Russian delegation also participated in exercises simulating firefighting at a metallurgical plant and studied the organization and operational practices of Uzbekistan’s MES units.
Following the visit, a Joint Action Plan between the Russian MES and the MES of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2024–2025 was signed, aimed at further strengthening cooperation and exchanging best practices between the agencies.
