Russian envoys discuss situation in Central Asia
Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and State Secretary Grigory Karasin chaired the meeting.
Ambassadors of Russia to Afghanistan, Kazakhsan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia participated at the meeting.
At the meeting, the Russian diplomats considered relations between Russia and Central Asian states, key regional issues, and situation in Afghanistan in the context of pulling out military forces from Afghanistan.
The meeting also considered current work of Russian missions in the region, their equipment and provision with cadres.
In the result of the talks, it is planned to adopt proposals directed at optimization of the work of the Russian diplomatic missions in Central Asia.
