Russian Doctors to Visit Uzbekistan with Mission Dobro
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 8 to 13 September 2025, Uzbekistan will host the next stage of the international volunteer program Mission Dobro, during which eight doctors from the RZD-Medicine network of clinics will provide medical and consultative assistance, as well as conduct educational activities for colleagues.
The delegation includes surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, a urologist, an obstetrician-gynecologist, an endocrinologist, and an orthopedic trauma surgeon.
Each specialist will work in a designated medical institution in Tashkent or Samarkand according to their professional profile.
The program includes master classes, lectures, round tables, clinical rounds, consultations, and patient examinations. Special attention will be given to experience exchange with Uzbek colleagues and training of medical university students.
This is already the second mission of RZD-Medicine doctors in Uzbekistan. A year ago, specialists visited Tashkent, where they held consultations, lectures, and performed high-tech surgical operations. Three participants of that trip are also part of the current delegation.
“Last year we conducted joint clinical rounds, discussed complex cases, and carried out advanced surgeries. Lectures, seminars, and live discussions confirmed the mutual interest and readiness for knowledge exchange. Today we return to continue our mission, strengthen partnerships, expand educational programs, and implement new joint projects for the benefit of patients,” noted Professor Vladislav Shirinsky, Doctor of Medical Sciences and surgeon.
The international program Mission Dobro has been implemented since 2021 by Rossotrudnichestvo and the association Dobro.RF, covering healthcare, education, culture, and ecology. Over this period, 43 missions have been carried out in more than 20 countries, reaching over 15,000 people.
In 2024, RZD-Medicine doctors took part in missions in both Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Currently, the project is being implemented under the Concept for the Development of the Humanitarian Potential of Russian Railways abroad. In 2025, the program’s geography is expanding to include CIS countries.
