Russian Deputy FM, Uzbek envoy discuss cooperation issues

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Ilkhom Nejmatov on 5 November.

During the meeting, the state of and prospects for Russian-Uzbek cooperation in various fields, including the foreign policy sphere, were discussed in detail, along with interaction within the UN, OSCE and SCO. A number of issues on the agenda of upcoming political contacts and summit-level bilateral dialogue were also examined.

The conversation passed in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.
