Russia Remains Key Market for Uzbek Electrical Goods
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s electrical industry continues to actively expand exports to the Russian market, which remains one of the country’s key export destinations, according to the Uzeltehsanoat Association.
Data for January–February 2026 show that exports to the Russian Federation reached US$42.3 million, surpassing the same period last year by US$0.43 million.
In the export structure, cable and wire products hold the leading position with shipments worth US$24.01 million, followed by household appliances at US$12.19 million, and voltage equipment and other electrical products at US$6.01 million.
Notable exporters that increased their volumes include Metal Processing Technology, Profit System Plastic, Toshkent Kabel Zavodi, Techno Commerce, and Vista Electronics Group, which collectively made a significant contribution to the overall supply.
Particularly remarkable is Alp Texno Servis, which saw growth from US$400,000 in January–February 2025 to US$7.4 million in the same period in 2026.
The Russian market remains attractive for Uzbek electrical products due to its high consumption capacity, developed industrial infrastructure, and well-established logistics routes, strengthening the sector’s export potential.
