Rosselkhoznadzor allowed to import of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian Agriculture Supervision) allowed to import of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan in hand luggage and luggage. This is reported by the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
“According to the results of the joint work on ensuring the phytosanitary security of the two countries, conducted by the Rosselkhoznadzor and the State Plant Inspection on Plant Quarantine under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, from 5 March 2019, import of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as dried fruits and nuts with a total weight of no more than 5 kg for passengers, arriving from Uzbekistan to Russia is allowed,” the report added.
Import allowed under the guarantee of the State Plant Quarantine.
Ban on passenger transportation of plant products from Uzbekistan to Russia was introduced on 16 April 2012 due to the systematic identification of quarantine organisms in imported products.
