Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In connection with the spread of a new coronavirus infection, Rospotrebnadzor has established interaction with foreign partners to monitor the epidemic situation and provide assistance to countries in need. This was reported by the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being of the Russian Federation.
Test systems developed by Rospotrebnadzor were transferred to the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, the DPRK and Iran. In total, about 800 test systems were transmitted for laboratory diagnosis of the new coronavirus COVID-19, which will allow specialists to conduct 80 thousand studies.
So, in particular, due to the worsening epidemic situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection, Rospotrebnadzor provided free of charge test systems for laboratory diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection in the amount of 500 sets for 50,000 studies.
At present, test systems developed by the Federal State Budgetary Institution Scientific Center of the World Bank "Vector" of Rospotrebnadzor have already been delivered to 10 countries of the near and far abroad. With their help, cases were detected on the territory of Armenia and Belarus.
The assistance programs to neighboring countries, implemented by Rospotrebnadzor with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation for more than 10 years, have already contributed to ensuring the preparedness of the countries of the Eurasian region for epidemics. This helps strengthen the collective capacity of countries in the region to combat the threat of an epidemic similar to a new coronavirus infection.
