Role of mass media in activities of prosecutor bodies discussed in Tashkent

Representatives of Prosecutor-General’s Office and its regional branches, as well as its departments and the EU project participated in the workshop.

The event was aimed at studying advanced experience of foreign countries in interaction of prosecutor bodies with mass media in covering the activities of the prosecutors in establishing rule of law, protection freedoms and rights of citizens, etc.

Foreign experts from Great Britain and Austria shared their experience in writing press releases, organizing press conferences and interviews for TV.

It was underlined that further transparency and openness of prosecutor bodies via cooperation with mass media will serve for single and clear implementation of the laws and prevent law violations, as well as improve legal knowledge of population.

The participants received certificates after the end of the workshop.
