RoboCraft courses open at three Barkamol Avlod schools

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 October 2019, A ceremony of launching specialized RoboCraft courses was held at three Barkamol Avlod schools in the capital.

The courses are open at the Barkamol Avlod schools of Sergeli, Yashnabad and Yakkasaray districts of the city of Tashkent as part of the implementation of the Five Initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan and the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to radically increase the effectiveness of out-of-school education in the public education system”.

RoboCraft is a specialized course where every child can learn how to design and program robots. The founders of this course offer an innovative approach to the training system and focus on modern educational models.

Courses are based on the STEAM methodology. This model of education helps students not only gain knowledge, but also instantly apply them in practice. According to the developers of the RoboCraft courses, such a technique will help develop the necessary knowledge and skills of young students, which in the future will allow them to easily adapt to the professional environment.

RoboCraft courses are a product of a public-private partnership. The project was implemented jointly with the Center for Innovation, Technology and Strategy under the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and private investors.

For the courses, the Barkamol Avlod schools were equipped with all the necessary equipment that would make the learning process easy, technological, affordable and interesting.

At the initial stage, these courses give students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basics of programming, learn the basics of mechatronics, computer science, robotics, etc. That is how they gain primary knowledge and the necessary skills in algorithmization, and learn to independently manage their own robots.

Developing their communication skills, STEAM competencies, creative and systemic thinking, students will become successful citizens of the digital era, true leaders of the future.

In November of this year, it is planned to open a course in Chilanzar district of Tashkent.

In January 2019, the first RoboCraft courses were organized at the Barkamol Avlod Republican Center. The project will make it possible to contribute to the implementation of the third of five initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan. The third initiative is aimed at organizing the effective use by the population and youth of computer technology and the Internet.
