Roblox Registers for VAT in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The American corporation Roblox Corporation has officially registered for tax purposes in Uzbekistan as a value-added tax (VAT) payer.

The registration of the global gaming platform was carried out on February 9 by the Interregional Tax Inspectorate for Large Taxpayers.

Under current legislation, foreign companies providing electronic services within the territory of the republic are required to register for VAT purposes.

Roblox has become one of the major international technology companies to formalize its operations within Uzbekistan’s tax framework since the beginning of 2026.

Other companies that have recently registered with Uzbek tax authorities include Valve Corporation, owner of the Steam gaming platform, and Anthropic PBC, developer of the Claude chatbot.
