Roadmap on cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan approved
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19-20 August, in the city of Nur-Sultan, the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev and the Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov will approve a road map, aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.
This was reported on 29 July during the conversation between Minister Jamshid Khojaev and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Gulmira Isayeva.
They also discussed such issues as growing lentils and soybeans in Tashkent region and Fergana Valley with a study of Kazakhstan’s experience, conducting research on growing wheat and barley varieties appropriate to the conditions of Uzbekistan, digitizing agriculture and sharing experience in this direction.
Prior to this, on 22 June 2019, during the FAO conference in Rome, the parties discussed issues related to the agro-industry, the export of goods. During the current meeting, the parties agreed to prepare several projects within the framework of the FAO regional conference to be held in 2020 in Uzbekistan.
At this time, members of the working group on agricultural development from Kazakhstan who are arriving from Kazakhstan to expand cooperation are exploring the possibilities of our country.
