Roadmap for construction of nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan signed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 May 2019, a signing of a roadmap for the implementation of the main activities for the construction of a nuclear power plant in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2019-2020 was signed in Tashkent.

The document was signed by Advisor to the Prime Minister, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov and General Director of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Alexei Likhachev.

This roadmap defines the specific steps of the second phase of the project. In particular, the document prescribes the algorithm for preparing the initial data for the development of an environmental impact assessment (EIA), instructions for creating a preliminary report on the safety justification. The document also includes the stages of preparation and coordination of contracts for the implementation of the project.
