Riyadh 2025: Uzbekistan Wins Nine Medals at Islamic Solidarity Games
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbek national team continues to perform strongly at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, currently taking place in Saudi Arabia. November 10 brought another day of notable success for Uzbek athletes, adding five gold, three silver, and one bronze medal to their tally.
Gold medals were claimed in boxing and weightlifting. Champions of the Games included Madiyar Daniyarov (up to 60 kg), Abdulloh Madaminov (up to 65 kg), and Khumorabonu Mamadjanova (up to 57 kg).
Weightlifter Sarvar Zafarjonov added two golds to Uzbekistan’s count, winning both the snatch and the total in the 88 kg category.
The team also secured three silver medals: the mixed judo team, Odinahon Ismailova (boxing, up to 60 kg), and Sarvar Zafarjonov, who placed second in the clean and jerk.
Uzbekistan’s lone bronze came from the mixed 4×100 meter medley relay swimming team.
