Retail trade turnover of Uzbekistan hits 25.91 trillion soums in 1H

In the structure of retail trade turnover, the share of food products made up 51.9% and non-food products – 48.1% (in January-June 2013 – 52.3% and 47.7% respectively).

In January-June 2014, the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises made up 10.186 trillion soums or increased by 12.4% compared to January-June 2013. In the structure of the retail trade, the turnover of trade enterprises was 39.3%.

In the total turnover of trade enterprises, the share of the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises in the rural area was 21.7%.

The sale of agricultural products and livestock in dekhkan markets increased by 14.9% and reached 10.411 trillion soums, the share of sales in the retail trade turnover was 40.2%.

The goods turnover of commodity and specialized markets was 5.313 trillion soums or 13.9% higher than in January-June 2013. The share of the informal sector in the total volume of goods turnover was 20.5%.
