Responsibility for interfering to work of teachers established

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan" on 21 July 2020.

The law introduced the appropriate changes and additions to a number of laws and codes.

In particular, the Code of Administrative Responsibility has been supplemented with Article 197⁵.

It has been determined that illegal interference in the professional activities of a teaching staff member of an educational institution or obstruction of the performance of his official duties entails responsibility.

For such offenses, liability measures are provided:

on citizens - the imposition of a fine from 5 to 7 basic estimated values (BEV) (from 1 million 115 thousand soums to 1 million 561 thousand soums);

for officials - from 7 to 10 BEV (from 1 million 561 thousand soums to 2 million 230 thousand soums).

If the same offenses committed repeatedly within a year after the application of an administrative penalty entail the imposition of a fine:

for citizens - from 7 to 10 BEV (from 1 million 561 thousand soums to 2 million 230 thousand soums);

for officials - from 10 to 15 BEV (from 2 million 230 thousand soums to 3 million 345 thousand soums).

In the event of this offense, a pedagogical worker of an educational institution has the right to go to court without drawing up a protocol on an administrative offense, indicating in the application information about the identity of the offender, the place, time and nature of the administrative offense, as well as other information necessary to resolve the case.
