Residents of Tashkent neighborhoods to receive benefits for paid parking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tashkent city administration announced that special benefits will be introduced for residents of apartment buildings on streets where the paid roadside parking system operates.

“For the convenience of residents, a system of residential permits will be implemented, allowing holders to use parking spaces within their neighborhood from evening to morning under preferential conditions. During daytime hours, certain discounts will apply, while on holidays and weekends, expanded benefits will be available,” the city administration noted.

The department added that work is currently underway to integrate the service with the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services. This will allow residents to obtain residential permits electronically. The process is expected to be completed by November of this year.

“Following the completion of preparatory work, the Tashkent city hokim will issue a corresponding decision clearly defining the procedure for issuing permits, their validity period, the categories of citizens eligible to receive them, and the list of benefits provided. The document will be published in accordance with established procedures for the information of the city’s residents,” the administration emphasized.
