Resident Parking Permits in Tashkent to Cost 412,000 Soums Annually
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 December, the Mayor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umurzakov, approved the pricing for resident parking permits in the city.
According to the decision, an annual permit for residents of nearby buildings will cost 1 basic calculation unit — 412,000 soums (less than 35 US dollars) for all five tariff zones.
The document amends the mayor’s October 2024 decree, which introduced paid parking. The new rules will take effect on 1 February 2026.
For nighttime hours, from 20:00 to 08:00, the resident permit will be issued free of charge. Applications for permits can be submitted through the Unified Public Services Portal.
Residents are defined as citizens who own a vehicle and property in houses located within or near neighborhoods with paid parking.
The permit is issued for one vehicle per year and is recorded in an electronic registry. No more than two resident permits can be issued per address.
The paid parking system began operating on 8 May 2025. It is managed by Streetpark Systems (under the brand Poytaxt Parking), with hourly rates ranging from 5,000 to 12,000 soums depending on the zone, while the first five minutes of parking are free.
