Republican working group pays visit to Khorezm region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 July, the Republican working group composed of heads of ministries and departments under the leadership of the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umrzakov visited Khorezm region.

Priority tasks are diagnostics of the industrial and export potentials of the region, analysis of the current conjuncture for a real assessment of the region's capabilities and the search for working mechanisms to increase export volumes in the near future.

Following a visit to the industrial enterprises of the region and conducted analytical work, a meeting was held with the participation of managers and senior officials of ministries, departments, local authorities, as well as representatives of enterprises-exporters of the region, during which measures to improve the business environment of exporters were discussed.

It was noted that the work to improve export performance is a multi-step process, requiring consistent and coordinated efforts of all the involved state structures at the local and republican levels.

The identified issues and problems of exporters were divided into two groups - current issues, the solution of which by joint efforts was able to work out on the spot and system problems for which specific algorithms were developed, indicating deadlines and responsible persons.

Moreover, in order to organize continuous and effective work with local exporters, responsible officials of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade were sent to districts and cities of each region of the Republic.
