Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 November  2019, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov, who is in Paris on a working visit, held bilateral meetings with the Senator of France, chairman of the inter-parliamentary group France-Central Asia Senate Natalie Goulet , deputy of the National Assembly, deputy chairman of the France-Central Asia interparliamentary group, Pierre Cabaret, and President of the Paris Medical Academy Emmanuel Cabanet, the Foreign Ministry said.

During the negotiations, prospects for the further development of Uzbek-French inter-parliamentary relations, trade and economic cooperation, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges, including in the areas of health and education, were discussed.

At the meetings, representatives of France confirmed their willingness to take part in observing the parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan in December 2019 as observers from the French Republic.
