Representative delegation of German business to visit Andijan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 19-20 October 2019, Andijan will be visited by a representative delegation of German business circles, who will take part in the Open Andijan International Investment Forum.

The visit is being organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Federal Republic of Germany together with the Khokimiyat of Andijan region, the Press Service of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Federal Republic of Germany reports.

According to the embassy, the delegation includes more than 20 representatives of German companies working in the areas of agricultural machinery, the automotive, food and textile industries, the production of building materials, agricultural processing, banking and consulting services, etc.

Among the members of the delegation are representatives of leading financial institutions and companies such as Commerzbank and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Trützschler GmbH & Co. KG, Max Holder GmbH, ABM Anlagenbau und Maschinentechnik GmbH, Gühring GmbH, SR Business Germany, ITM Investment Trade Marketing GmbH, Rödl & Partner and RSP-i.

The purpose of the participation of German businessmen in the upcoming event is to get acquainted directly with the investment and export potential of the Andijan region, as well as establish direct contacts with local entrepreneurs.

At the official opening ceremony of the Forum, the main guests of the event are expected to make a presentation by the director of the Department of International Trade and translation solutions of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Matthias Heuser.

It is planned that within the framework of the business forum, representatives of German business circles will hold bilateral meetings with their Uzbek partners in the G2B and B2B formats, as a result of which agreements are expected to be reached on specific investment projects and export contracts.

The upcoming visit of such a representative delegation of German business can be considered as another striking evidence of the recognition of the ongoing large-scale socio-economic reforms in Uzbekistan, causing great interest in Germany. Moreover, their interest is not limited only to the capital of the republic, German businessmen are becoming more active in the regions.

So, currently in Andijan region with the participation of German capital, joint projects totaling more than 200 million euros are already being implemented.

In particular, German companies are participating in projects to modernize the knitwear factory and build a plant for the production of refined vegetable oil in the Kurgantepa district, build a transport and logistics center in the Khojaabad region and produce dried fruits and spices in the Shakhrikhansky district.
