Remains of fire victims delivered from Russia to Urgench

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 July 2017, remains of seven citizens of Uzbekistan, who died in the result of the fire in Kolpino (St. Petersburg) were delivered from Russia to Urgench, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The foreign policy department of Uzbekistan stated that the remains of the deceased were delivered to Uzbekistan with the assistance of the authorities of St. Petersburg and Uzbekistan Airways.

On 16 July, the employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation completed the procedures for identifying bodies, registering death certificates. The permission of the investigative authorities to transport the bodies was also obtained.

At present, the investigation into the causes of the fire continues.
